The Bugout^TM Pet Feeding System was developed by John and Jennifer Newman, themselves pet owners, as an answer to the problem of crawling insects invading pet food. Any pet be it dogs, cats, ferrets, potbellied pigs, that eats off the ground can be impacted by this problem. 

The Problem
An increasing number of families leave their pets alone for the day while at work. Serious dehydration can occur if pets are not given enough water. Evaporation, stagnation of water and growth of algae in the water are of concern to pet owners. Self watering devices are one answer to this concern.

Crawling insect contamination to pet food is another concern. The use of ant traps or spraying of insecticides or pesticides is risky to pets and humans. 

Moat type dishes without detergents or soap are the only type of pest control recognized as safe ...and our product is designed as such!
